Introduction
Dr. Cecilio Azar is a renowned national and regional Gastroenterologist with more than 15 years of experience in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His areas of expertise are inflammatory bowel disease and Hepatology, and he has over 25 publications in international journals and book chapters. He’s an eloquent lecturer, and he is on the advisory board of multiple pharmaceutical companies. He is highly skilled in advanced upper and lower endoscopic procedure and performs intra-gastric balloons for obesity. He is involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows and he is an active member in the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) and the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organization.
