Studied and trained in Germany, Dr. Uwe Johannes Nellessen is a renowned expert in the field of sports medicine and joint replacement surgeries. He has worked extensively across Germany and UAE in various well-known hospitals.
He has special interest and training in Autologous Cartilage Transplantation (ACT), Stem Cell therapy inclusive of PRP, advanced Sports Medicine, Computer Navigation in Total Knee Replacement (TKR) in combination with robotics, and strategies for delayed union/non-union fractures.
Since 2000, he is actively involved and working with different Football Clubs (Al Nasr FC, Al Wasl FC), Ice Hockey Teams, National Female Football Team-Germany, Basketball Teams and with Olympic Athletes as a Consultant for sports-related injuries.
