Introduction
Dr. Abid Showkat Zargar is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over 10 years’ experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He was also the Head of Department of Gastroenterology at Bansal Hospital, India which is a 350 bed premier hospital of central India with an active liver transplant programme. He was instrumental in starting the EUS and ERCP services there. He also worked as Consultant Gastroenterologist in Government Medical College, Srinagar, India. He has subspecialised with a clinical fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP in one of the busiest endoscopic units in India
