Dr. Mennatallah Farouk

Introduction

Dr. Mennatallah Farouk is a passionate senior Consultant Pediatrician with 19 years of experience in the pediatric field with a special interest in pediatric emergency medicine and critical care. She acquired her MBBCH degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University, Egypt. She further pursued a Master of Science in pediatrics from Ain Shams University, Egypt, and subsequently completed a Master of Science in Pediatric Emergency Medicine from the prestigious University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. She also holds numerous qualifications in pediatrics such as the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant.

During the beginning of her career, she practiced in tertiary care hospitals in Egypt and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where she worked at Prince Sultan Cardiac center managing pediatric cardiology cases and pediatric cardiac critical care.


In 2011, she moved to UAE, where she undertook various roles in Dubai Health Authority (DHA) for 10 years. She worked as a senior specialist in Pediatrics at Dubai Hospital, Dubai Health Authority. Moreover, she is an experienced medical educator of pediatrics to different stages of medical education, such as a clinical tutor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Dubai Medical College, a Co-Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at DHA, and a supervisor of pediatrics for DHA Maternity and childhood fellowship for family physicians. Dr. Mennatallah is also a certified American Heart Association instructor for pediatric advanced life support (PALS).
