Introduction

Dr. Amir Faour is a Consultant in the Department of Cardiology at the Medcare Hospital, Al Safa. He is an Interventional Cardiologist trained in Australia and the UK. He completed his BSc and MBBS from the University of Queensland in Australia. He is also a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

He has the distinction of being a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ) and, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He is also a member of the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).

Dr. Faour commenced his illustrious career with an internship followed by a residency in Internal Medicine and one in Cardiology at the Liverpool Hospital in Australia. He then did his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Liverpool Hospital and was an adjunct Associate Lecturer at The University of New South Wales, both in Australia. He was an Interventional Cardiology and PhD Fellow at Campbelltown Hospital, Sydney, Australia followed by a fellowship in Structural Cardiology at Leeds General Infirmary in Leeds, UK.
