Dr. Rafia Rahim

Introduction

Dr. Rafia Rahim is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital. She completed her MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala, India and is certified in Psychiatry from the Arab Board of Medical Specialisation, Syria. She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych), UK.

From the inception of her career, Dr. Rahim practised as a specialist Psychiatrist at the Al Ain Hospital Behavioural Sciences Institute, Al Ain, UAE, a government entity under SEHA. It’s a tertiary level multi-speciality, teaching hospital where the psychiatry department had its own Residency programme. She had the privilege of educating and mentoring Psychiatry residents, including medical undergraduates and interns. After over two decades of dealing with outpatients and inpatients of various ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, she relocated to Dubai to work with Medcare.
