Introduction
Dr. Ahmed Zaki is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon at Medcare Hospital. He completed his MBBCh from Ain Shams University in Cairo, followed by a Master’s degree (MSc) in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, with research focused on advanced treatment modalities for knee osteoarthritis. He’s a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the AO Trauma (Switzerland), the Egyptian Orthopaedic Association (EOA) and the Emirates Orthopaedic Society (EOS).
With almost two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Zaki has worked in Egypt and the UAE. He began his medical journey first as a House Officer and then as an Orthopaedic Surgery Resident in the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, Egypt. Here, he was fortunate to receive extensive rotational training in arthroplasty, sports medicine, spine surgery, paediatric orthopaedics, orthopaedic oncology, hand surgery, and trauma. He further enhanced his skills by completing basic and advanced trauma courses at the AO Foundation in Switzerland. Subsequently, he moved to the UAE to join Delma Specialised Orthopaedic Centre as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Later, he served as an Orthopaedic Registrar at Prime Hospital and as a Specialist and Branch Manager at Prime Medical Centre. He spent more than a decade as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Prime Health Care Group.
