Introduction
Dr. Arwa Shabbir Ali Al Hazari is a Consultant in the Department of General Surgery at the Medcare Hospital- Sharjah. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery from UAE and then qualified for an MRCS Glasgow, Arab Board General Surgery and a Fellowship in Laparoscopic &Bariatric Surgery from Singapore. She is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons ( Glasgow) and the Emirates Medical Association.
Dr. Al Hazari’s meritorious career began with a General surgery residency (DHA) followed by a stint as a Surgical Registrar at the Canadian Hospital. Subsequently she served as a Specialist Surgeon at Al Barsha Hospital and at the Amina Hospital. She has successfully performed many laparoscopic cholecystectomies and appendectomies, and other surgeries like pilonidal sinus and open inguinal and ventral hernia repairs. She has also treated thyroid diseases and conducted surgery to remove breast lumps and bumps, and anal surgeries including haemorrhoidectomy and fissurectomy for fistula.
