Introduction
Dr. Ritesh Kauntia is an accomplished nephrologist with over 18 years of experience in managing complex kidney disorders. He currently serves as the Additional Director in the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation at Fortis Hospital, Anandapur, Kolkata. Dr. Kauntia completed his MBBS from KMC Mangalore, followed by an MD in General Medicine from KMC Manipal, and went on to earn his DNB in Nephrology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. His training also includes valuable stints at leading institutions such as AIIMS, Max Hospital Saket, and TMH Jamshedpur. He specializes in hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, kidney transplantation, and interventional nephrology, including vascular access and renal biopsies.
