Introduction

Dr. Shailesh Kumar graduated from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, India in 2002. He worked as a Resident in the Department of Medicine of Lok Nayak Hospital and G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi. In 2005, he moved to Singapore and completed Internal Medicine training from National University Hospital, Singapore attached to National University of Singapore and passed Membership examination of Royal College of Physicians of The United Kingdom in 2010. Following this, he worked as a Registrar in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Singapore General Hospital attached to National University of Singapore and DUKE-NUS Graduate Medical School and completed Advanced Specialist Training in Gastroenterology in 2014. Singapore General Hospital is ranked as the 9th best hospital in the world. He is certified as a Specialist in Gastroenterology by Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health, Singapore. He is trained in advanced interventional endoscopy in Singapore, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Germany. He is working as a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and Interventional Endoscopist in Thumbay University Hospital and Gulf Medical University, Ajman.
