Dr. Arindam Ghosh, a distinguished Senior Consultant Gastrointestinal Surgeon and General Surgeon, brings over two decades of specialized experience in gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery. His illustrious career began at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital in India, where he served as a Consultant, Assistant Professor, and Head of Surgical Gastroenterology. During his tenure, he was instrumental in founding the Advanced Laparoscopic Digestive Surgery Programme and led the team that performed the first successful Living Donor Liver Transplantation in North India.
Dr. Ghosh continued his professional journey at SPS Apollo Hospitals, where he held the position of Senior Consultant and Head of GI & HPB Surgery. His pioneering work in the region included establishing and leading innovative surgical programs, furthering his expertise in complex gastrointestinal procedures.
Having performed over 12,000 advanced laparoscopic surgeries related to the digestive system, Dr. Ghosh’s surgical proficiency is extensive. His notable achievements include performing more than 300 Whipple procedures, over 150 gastric and esophageal resections, and upwards of 1500 colorectal operations. Additionally, he has conducted over 1500 bariatric surgeries, showcasing his leadership in the field of weight loss surgery.
