Introduction
Dr. Baher Ashour is a highly accomplished Consultant Otolaryngologist (ENT) with more than 25 years of clinical, surgical, and academic experience. He previously served as the Head of the ENT Department and Acting Head of Surgical Services at Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital (formerly Zayed Military Hospital, Al Batayih, UAE), in addition to his longstanding role as Assistant Professor at Cairo University Faculty of Medicine.
In 2004, Dr. Ashour was awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship by the British Government to study the effects of noise on hearing and wellbeing. Through this program, he earned a Master’s degree with distinction in Audiology for ENT Practice from University College London and trained at the renowned Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London. He later completed his MD degree in 2009 and became a certified Fellow of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in 2011.
Dr. Ashour’s clinical expertise centers on the diagnosis and management of hearing and balance disorders, including dizziness, tinnitus, Eustachian tube dysfunction, and noise-induced hearing loss. His role at Zayed Military Hospital also provided him with valuable experience in diving and aviation medicine, enhancing his ability to evaluate and treat complex otologic conditions.
