Dr Paul Jairaj

Introduction

Dr. Paul Jairaj is the Consultant Orthopaedics at Emirates Specialty Hospital. He earned his MBChB from the University of Birmingham Medical School and holds dual FRCS qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, one in Surgery in General FRCS (Eng) and also the second FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics FRCS (Tr&Orth). He completed his surgical rotations at the Royal Post Graduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital and his orthopaedic training rotation at Imperial College London. Additionally, he was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Orthopaedics which is no longer awarded as training has now reduced

Dr. Jairaj enhanced his expertise through travelling fellowships at prestigious Centers of Excellence in the United States, including Harvard Orthopaedic Services in Boston, The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Chicago, the Steadman Clinic in Vale, Colorado, the Stone Clinic in San Francisco, the University of Charlottesville, and the Clinique du Sport in Merignac, Bordeaux, France. He has held positions as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for Hip and Knee at the Royal Bournemouth & Poole NHS Trust and at the London Bridge Hospital in the UK, before relocating to the UAE where he is considered among the best Hip and Knee Replacement Surgeons in Dubai brining innovative surgical techniques to the Emirates Orthopedic Department in DHCC.
